2015 Pumpkin Patch Fun

For our family, fall in WI is the most wonderful time of the year (cue the music….no, that song’s not for fall?!?). Anyways, along with our love affair with this time of the year our favorite activity is going to a pumpkin farm with the kiddos, which is a family tradition. I remember taking Nola when she was 3 months old and CJ being a little nervous about taking her, BUT it’s fall AND pumpkins AND we had a kid!

Last year we went to Eugster’s Farm and loved it so I tend to like going to the same place. But if we are being real here, by the end of fall we will probably go to multiple pumpkin farms, it’s just such a fun activity to do with the kids on the weekend.

Eugsters Farm

A fall family tradition is going to a pumpkin patch each year.  So a couple weekends ago we headed to Eugsters Farm.  I’m not going to lie we were a little bummed prior to going because for the last two years we have always taken Nola to Lemo’s Farm back in CA and it seemed sad we couldn’t take her there again.  But thankfully the farm and day exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time.  We miss you Lemo’s, but we are moving forward and that feels good too!

Eugster’s had a lot of farm animals and if you read this blog regularly or know our child she loves all animals.  So basically she was in her little toddler Heaven.  The highlight of the day for Nola was feeding the baby goats with a bottle.  I thought that was an awesome thing that Eugster’s allowed the kiddos to do and Nola still talks about it!  The weather was that perfect WI fall weather, Nola was having a blast seeing all the animals and I just felt overwhelmed with thankfulness spending the day with my people.

Lemos Pumpkin Patch

Once October gets here I already start thinking/planning when we will go to a pumpkin patch.  Pre-baby we also made a point of going to them, but I have to say since Nola came along going to them is that much better.  Yeah I’m a pretty big advocate for saying life with a kid is pretty fun!  A couple of weekends ago a group of us went and it was a beautiful fall brisk day, we were amongst great people and most importantly our sweet toddlers seemed to have a wonderful time.  So the day was a good one for sure.  Here are some photos of the day if you care to see.
